''Different'' Families Exist Workshop was held at TED University on April 3 and 4, 2021. On September 2021, a book which is based on the workshop was published. Our faculty member Dr. Gülçin Con Wright was one of the project coordinators of the workshop and the book.

Our department head Prof. Dr. Kezban Çelik's article titled “I'm a mother, therefore I question”: Parents' legitimation sources of and hesitancy towards early childhood vaccination, co-authored with Sevgi Turan and Sarp Üner, was published in the journal of Social Science & Medicine, on August 2021. The conference titled Youth Research 2021 in Turkey: Themes, Trends and Approaches was held on 12-13 June. Our department head Prof. Dr. Kezban Çelik participated in the conference with her presentation titled "Youth Not in Education and Employment: Can It Be Recognized From Where They Are Not".
