We are a young and dynamic faculty. As active scientists, each of our faculty members enables us to produce graduates of the quality we aim for through their research conducted in the field, within different research groups and in our research laboratories, while skillfully using active learning tools.
Beyond being a classic Faculty of Arts and Sciences, our Faculty offers a wide range of courses at various depths to students from all departments of our university. With these courses in different fields of art and science, we aim to increase our students' mental flexibility, help them gain new perspectives, develop creative, critical, and analytical thinking skills, and also train individuals who can correctly express their thoughts in writing and verbally, discuss, collaborate, and solve problems.
Our English Language and Literature Department provides an educational program that offers students the opportunity to understand and comparatively examine a wide variety of literary works and contemporary cultures using the English language. The program's goal is to train individuals who can adapt to the conditions of a changing and complex world, understand today's world, and are equipped to change and transform it.
Mathematics Department students gain knowledge and skills in applications in other sciences along with the strong theoretical background in mathematics. Students studying under high TED University standards acquire the necessary equipment to work in various fields of public and private sectors and have the opportunity to continue to graduate and doctoral programs upon graduation, thanks to the wide range of elective courses offered in the education program.
Our Psychology graduates can ask complex questions with agile minds in line with the rapidly developing dynamic and interdisciplinary structure of psychology, know where and how to find answers to these questions, and can interpret and make sense of the data obtained through research in the context of the big picture.
Our Sociology department students, having the advantage of belonging to a city university, benefit from the city as a learning and social service environment, and are trained as sociologists who can think participatively, creatively, and critically, are sensitive to social problems, and have a sociological imagination in a learning environment enriched with both theory and applications of sociology.
Being a student in one of the programs in our faculty means being in an intense, dynamic adventure to learn, research, discuss, and spread knowledge by sharing.
If you want to experience this adventure and are considering choosing one of our faculty programs, please examine our web pages to get to know our departments, faculty, and programs more closely.
I invite you to become a member of TED University and the TED family.
Best regards,
Kezban Çelik (Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences)
